WOULD-BE WEEBLE: JAWS

It's time for a new addition to my virtual collection of Would-Be Weebles. Since Jaws is a movie monster in his own right I figured the Halloween countdown is a fine place for him to make his debut. There's probably not a lot I can tell you about Jaws that you don't already know. (Did you hear that they're going to put out a three hour documentary about the film?) I couldn't resist making a Weeble in his likeness for two reasons...
1. Jaws is awesome.
2. Jaws' head is sort of shaped like a Weeble on the poster...

"...What we are dealing with here is a perfect weeble, an eating weeble. It's really a miracle of weebles. All this weeble does is swim and eat and make little weebles, and that's all."

You're right, that is a pretty darn nifty design for that shape.

Hey kids, careful when you stick your hand in the toy box! Nice to see a new W-B-W and great work!

Is the rating on the poster correct? Is Jaws really PG? Or does that refer to the ride?

I guess I've never bothered to notice the rating of Jaws, but even now it seems like it wouldn't rate a PG.

CRWM - Spielberg has always had a way with the ratings board.

Besides, back in the mid 70s R was reserved for more extreme movies, typically with nudity, loads of violence and gore or drugs. Airplane! was PG as well if you can believe that. Basically
parental guidance used to mean just what it says, that parents were strongly suggested to consider the material for their children. Now we thing, "PG, must be good for kids."

CrWm- Shawn's right indeed. Another example was Poltergeist. It initially came back with an R rating but Spielberg fought it and the MPAA switched it a PG without him changing a thing (A guy tears his face off in that, among other things). From what I understand, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was a big factor in the MPAA creating the PG-13 rating.

Great idea! I wish you'd made my weebles back when I was a kid. I especially like the blue base and the silvery look of the shark.

Brilliant! How many times I've said "brilliant" here, I can't say, but it is. Very cool. Now I wanna make one...

So clever! I did not anticipate that my day would start admiring a "would-be weeble."

thanks dane and monster maniac.
MM- if you choose to make your own then please exercise extreme caution.

max- lol. Nobody ever anticipates it, but such a moment lies within the destiny of many.
