MAIL-ORDER MYSTERIES E-BOOK NOW AVAILABLE

Hi everybody! If lack of shelf space has been keeping you from ordering Mail-Order Mysteries then you may be interested to know that it's now available as an e-book on the iTunes iBook iStore, just iClick here. It's currently nineteen bucks.

The book has continued to exceed my wildest hopes. It ranked #9 in "Hardcover Humor" on the Wall Street Journal bestsellers list. It was one of USA Today's best graphic novels of 2011 and has gotten sweet coverage on LA Times, The Onion AV Club, Laughing Squid, Superpunch, Bookgasm, Strange Kids Club and Forces of Geek to name a handful. Also Tom Scharpling of The Best Show on WFMU, a cultural hero of mine, tweeted that it was Legitimately fascinating and fun.

Lastly, Steve Shive of "Steve Likes to Curse" made a really wonderful video review. His is the reaction I was hoping to get. (And by the way Steve, the way you pronounce my last name is totally accurate in its country of origin, however the Americanized version rhymes with "embarrass.")

I just got my copy today. Its a great and entertaining book. I found things I had as a child but had forgotten all about.I wish I still had them.

I love, love, love this book, but really, buy the hardcover. Seems like the e-version would be way less fun!

Dawn- Thanks for buying the book! I love jogging forgotten memories in others. Your childhood is on ebay.

Chris- Thanks so much! And thank YOU too for getting it. I was about to say that the cover wouldn't glow in the dark on the e-book, but then I realized actually the every page does.

Brian- thank you too! I really am shocked at how this stuff still resonates with folks. It's so fun to nudge the cultural spotlight back on it.

I got my hardcover a few weeks ago - it is fabulous! People, if you don't have your copy yet, get over to Amazon pronto and order one. You will not be disappointed. I think I better get over there an write a glowing review.

I'm amazed that I remember just about everything in it, and I love seeing how much disappointed I was spared as a kid since I never got to order anything. Mom was right after all! I'm so glad it's been a success Kirk, and I look forward to whatever you do next.

I just got the book in the mail today. On a related note, do you have any idea what comprised Kimo Ogawa's "Shocker" self-defense mechanism?
