IN PRAISE OF LONG JOHN SILVER'S KRUMS- ON MONKEY GOGGLES

The crunchy pieces of batter at Long John Silvers are my favorite food byproduct. Officially known as "krums," they are a topic that the internet has been too afraid to discuss—until now. Visit Monkey Goggles to read about my lifelong love affair with these guilty little pleasures.

  1. Awesome write up on the Krums. I love those things. I had no idea you could just order them... extra. Good stuff.

  2. Hey. In fish and chip shops in the UK, (well certain ones anyway) you can ask for 'scraps' and you will have a lovely sprinkling of these little batter pieces over your chips! Sometimes they'll wrap them up separately though and then there's a treat.

  3. I think you introduced me to krums when you asked in the drive-through, "Can I get extra krums with that?"

    I was flabbergasted.

  4. When we were young every fish and chip shop gave 'scraps' and would look at you strangely if you refused them. As kids you would love it when you got a piece of fish in your scraps by mistake
